Somnath Sakthi is enjoying a lifestyle that he dreamed of many years ago while still in his homeland of India.
“I wanted to move to a place that was really good for my family’s future,” the Pharmacist says.
“Here, I finish work at 5:30pm and I’m home by 5:40pm.”
“Everything you need is a two or three minute walk from work,” he says, adding that traffic snarls and congestion are truly a thing of the past for him.
Somnath has friends in India who are also considering moving to the Ararat region and he looks forward to the possibility of welcoming them to the town he believes holds a wealth of opportunity for other health professionals.
“Employment is easy to find and housing is extremely affordable.”
Among the details of his new life that most appeal to the 31-year-old are the capacity to spend plenty of time with family and the kindness bestowed upon him by the locals.
